Charles
Charles is one of many AIDS orphans living in Africa. By the time he was 13 years old, both of his parents were dead from the affects of AIDS. Charles was left to care for his four younger brothers. With no way to provide for them, they often all went hungry for two or three days at a time. They had to resort to begging to get any food they could. Fortunately, they eventually got help from the government, although compared to our lives they still have practically nothing. But they were some of the lucky ones who were able to get help. Tons of children never get any assistance, and have to continue on living in complete poverty.
